iPhone 3G to come out July 11th

So, the new iPhone 3G is coming out July 11th. Steve Jobs released the news June 9th at WWDC, after having to hear all the stuff we had to hear on March 6th about the Enterprise and software 2.0 (which will be on iPhones and iPhone 3G’s). 

The new features include GPS, 3G (obviously), slightly better battery life, a flush headphone jack, and an all plastic back which will come in black and (if you get a 16GB model) white.

The cons of the 2nd coming include, no more iTunes activation (in-store only at an AT&T and Apple Store), and the new data plan is now 30$ as opposed to the 20$ a month for previous iPhone owners. The are rumors saying the new plastic back will not hold up, but I don’t beleive these rumors to be true because Apple isn’t stupid enough to piss off their customers.
